As part of the planned succession of our long-standing Head of Finance and Human Resources, we are seeking an entrepreneurial-minded professional to independently lead our Finance and HR departments. In this key position, you will serve as a trusted point of contact for management, tax advisors, auditors, banks, and employees. Major administrative processes have already been automated using AI-powered tools.

Your Responsibilities
- Accounting and Financial Processes: Recording day-to-day business transactions in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and banking, including the allocation of cost centers.
- Valuation of Work in Progress: Determination and valuation of work in progress as part of the monthly closing process.
- Payment Transactions: Preparation and execution of payment runs, as well as monitoring of payment transactions.
- Bank Guarantees: Processing and administration of bank guarantees, including coordination with banks and internal stakeholders.
- Monthly Closings and Tax Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including EC Sales Lists (ESL) and VAT advance returns.
- Process Optimization: Active participation in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
- Collaboration Within the Company: Close coordination with commercial management, executive management, and external tax advisors.
- Responsibility for the commercial operations: Independently manage and continuously develop the company’s finance, human resources, and administrative processes, while serving as a trusted advisor to the management team on commercial and business-related matters.
Your Profile
- Qualifications: Completed commercial vocational training, for example as a tax clerk, industrial clerk, or in a comparable field.
- Further Education: Ideally complemented by additional qualifications such as Certified Accountant, Certified Tax Specialist, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience: Several years of experience in accounting within a medium-sized company and experience with cost center accounting.
- Software Skills: Ideally experienced with the Diamant financial accounting software.
- Additional Knowledge (advantageous): Knowledge of international accounting standards, particularly US GAAP, as well as experience with additional reporting such as Intrastat.
- Language Skills: Good communication skills in German and ideally proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Working Style: Structured, careful, and independent way of working, with enthusiasm for collaborating across different departments.
- Personal Attributes: A strong sense of responsibility, discretion, and an entrepreneurial mindset, combined with the ability to independently structure tasks, set priorities, and prepare well-founded decisions.
