Senior Electrical Assembly Technician / Workshop & Site Supervisor (m/f/d)

Permanent position, full-time · Northern Branch - Rieste

The position involves the technical and organizational leadership of electrical work on customer sites as well as in our workshop. The Senior Electrical Assembly Technician coordinates installation teams, plans work processes, monitors the timely and professional execution of all activities, and ensures that electrical installations, wiring, commissioning, and testing are carried out safely, reliably, and in accordance with quality standards.
The successful candidate serves as the central point of contact between Project Management, Mechanical Design, Controls Engineering, Assembly, the Workshop, customers, and subcontractors. The objective of this role is to organize site and workshop operations efficiently, provide technical guidance to team members, coordinate personnel and material requirements, and ensure a smooth project execution through to successful handover.

Your Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Supervise, allocate, and support electrical assembly technicians on customer sites and in the workshop.
  • Site Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee work processes, schedules, resources, and installation progress on-site.
  • Workshop Coordination: Organize and prioritize workshop activities, including control cabinet assembly, pre-assembly work, and internal electrical projects.
  • Technical Execution: Ensure the professional installation, wiring, testing, and commissioning of electrical components, assemblies, and complete systems.
  • Coordination and Communication: Act as the primary contact for Project Managers and coordinate closely with internal departments, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Material and Resource Planning: Determine material, tooling, and personnel requirements and coordinate procurement and deployment in a timely manner.
  • Quality, Safety, and Documentation: Monitor work quality, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards, and maintain inspection, assembly, commissioning, and site documentation.

Your Profile

  • Qualifications: Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, such as Electrical Technician, Industrial Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Professional Experience: Several years of experience in electrical assembly, machine building, plant engineering, control cabinet assembly, or site installation.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading installation teams, coordinating personnel, or working in a comparable supervisory role.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong planning and organizational abilities with the capability to manage workshop and site operations while maintaining schedules, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of electrical engineering, wiring, control cabinet assembly, sensors, actuators, drive technology, and ideally pneumatics and industrial control systems.
  • Working Style: Independent, structured, and solution-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility, leadership skills, and commitment to quality.
  • Communication: Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach when working with employees, internal departments, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel for installation and commissioning assignments within Germany and internationally.
  • Language Skills: Good command of German, both written and spoken; solid English skills are an advantage.
  • Driver’s License: Valid Class B driver’s license required.
